School Lunches

Children eat lunch in the school hall and those eating school dinners and packed lunches sit together. Children choosing a school dinner make a choice at the beginning of the school day, when the register is taken. It is helpful to look at the lunch choices in advance with your child. A team of lunchtime assistants managed by Jill King, Headteacher supervises the lunchtime break.

Packed Lunches

At Frogmore Infant School, we will encourage your child to develop a healthy lifestyle and make informed choices about their diet. Healthy eating and oral hygiene are also an important part of the Early Years Curriculum. To support you in providing a healthy lunch box for your child we have included a list of permitted items below.

Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).

ALL children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a meal, free of charge, under the UIFSM programme and registration is not required.

To coincide with schools' transition work to get children ready for September's reception intake, Education Catering is again holding online events this term for parents and carers. Designed to explain everything they need to know about how school lunch works when their child starts school, these events are helpful in giving confidence and reassurance as well as key information.

Events take place on 7 May 1.45-2.30 pm and 27 June 4-5 pm.
